Michelle Lugo

Biography

Ms. Lugo is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin, School of Law. She lived in Mexico City where she worked for Banco Nacional de Mexico, (“Banamex”), the largest bank in the country in terms of assets. Throughout the course of her employment, she received formal recognition for the transactions she put together and negotiated on behalf of the Bank, including a transaction in the amount of $375,000,000.00. The bulk of her transactions are valued in millions. During her career with Banamex, she served as lead counsel for its Cayman Islands subsidiary, as well as its International Custody and International Treasury Departments. She also worked for Bancomer’s wholly owned Cayman Islands subsidiary as Trust Officer, and drafted the standardized trusts the bank offered to clients in the million dollar range. She also trained the bank’s entire sales force on how the trusts worked, and how to sell the trusts to clients.

Additionally, she has worked for some of the most recognized technology companies in the industry, including Computer Associates International, Inc., where she served as head of the regional legal department handling the largest volume of transactions of any Company region within the United States. Together with two of her colleagues, she worked to create and roll out what became the standard procedures nationwide for all regional legal divisions of the Company.

She is licensed to practice law in the State of Texas and in the State of New York.

Ms. Lugo is bilingual and bicultural, and uses these skills to facilitate international transactions in Mexico, Central America, and South America. Her business clientele includes individuals, small and medium size businesses. Over the course of her career, Ms. Lugo has developed long term relationships with some of the best attorneys in their respective fields operating in solo practices and law boutiques, thus empowering her clients to select attorneys who meet their immediate legal and financial needs when it comes to business litigation, tax and employment law.

Ms. Lugo also works with individuals who need contracts drafted, reviewed, revised or negotiated, and those who are starting a business.
