Biography

Christina Griffin King is an accomplished and dedicated criminal defense attorney with extensive experience in both public defense and private practice. Christina has built a distinguished career advocating for individuals facing serious criminal charges, including felony and misdemeanor offenses. Over the course of her career, Christina has successfully handled approximately 6,000 cases, ranging from misdemeanors to capital murder charges. She has secured thousands of dismissals, Not Guilty verdicts, and No Bills for her clients, earning a reputation for her effectiveness and commitment to achieving the best possible outcomes.
Since 2014, Christina has served as an Assistant Public Defender at the Dallas County Public Defender’s Office, where she zealously represents indigent clients throughout all stages of criminal cases. Her responsibilities include developing case strategies, negotiating with prosecutors, conducting investigations, interviewing witnesses, and arguing motions in court. Christina’s unwavering commitment to her clients’ rights has made her a tenacious advocate in both pre-trial hearings and jury trials.

Prior to her tenure at the Public Defender’s Office, Christina gained valuable experience in criminal defense through her work at Browning Law Firm and Mark Morales & Associates. At both firms, she represented clients in a wide range of criminal cases, from misdemeanors to felony charges. Her work included client interviews, case investigations, developing legal strategies, and advocating in hearings and jury trials. Christina’s early career also included co-founding Griffin & Morales, a criminal defense firm where she managed criminal cases in multiple counties, further honing her ability to navigate complex legal challenges in criminal law.
Additionally, Christina’s prior experience in personal injury, civil litigation, and Child Protective Services cases further strengthened her skills in advocating for clients’ rights and navigating the legal system. Her experience in handling high-stakes family law cases and working closely with vulnerable populations has translated into a compassionate, client-centered approach in her criminal defense practice.

In addition to her work in criminal defense, Christina has held legal internships at the Harris County District Attorney’s Office and the Mexican Consulate, where she gained further exposure to criminal law and immigrant rights issues, including working with Spanish-speaking clients.

Christina graduated from the University of Houston Law Center in 2010, where she was a member of the Mock Trial Team and served as the Director of External Affairs for The Federalist Society. She is fluent in Spanish and holds memberships with the Dallas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association and the Texas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association.

Christina’s work is driven by a deep commitment to justice and the belief that every individual deserves the best legal defense, no matter their circumstances.
